Superhero to the rescue!

Welcome to the Squidoo Superhero Project! Only a select few of you will know about the blog since you have shown yourself to be SuperSquid-ers in your own right.

Your lenses have made a difference. They have raised money for charity. Pretty amazing what lenses can do and I think you can do even more!

Create at least five lenses on who YOU think is a Superhero and why you’ll be in the running for some cool perks.

This is a special chance to tell stories about Superheroes. Not the mythical one but the real person who is making a real difference.

Everyday people inspire. The person who makes dinner for the family every night can be as inspiring (maybe even more so!) than someone donating a million dollars to charity. Superheroes come in many forms (and capes!) Who do you know who is unsung and deserves some of the limelight?

Here’s the even more special part: On July 1 we will choose our five favorite Superhero Lenses. Each winner will be a featured Lens of the Day and $500 will be donated to the lensmasters’ favorite charity.

Send in your 5 best lenses to superheroes@squidoo.com, along with the URL of the charity you want to support if you win. The deadline is July 1.

Celebrate those who deserve it. A chance to make a nice gift to your favorite charity. And, best of all, the chance to inspire and be super yourself!

Check in with the blog everyday to get some tips and some guidance – and by all means drop me a line with any ideas/suggestions/questions.

Thanks and good luck!

Does it work if the organization we wish the prize awarded to is outside the US? Some of us are, and I’m one of them so I thought I’d ask…

    Thanks again! :)

  7. Outside the US is a-ok! We’ll figure out a way to send help – should you win! :)

  8. Had to do one for Bono. I’d had one as a SquidWho WIP, so decided this was a better cause.

Too bad my Princess Diana and Oprah are ineligible :(

I don’t want to compete with SemperFidelis amazing Mother Teresa lens. Got to put my thinking cap on for more people who inspire me that I haven’t already built lenses for.
